Table of Contents

Want to design a soft reflector based on CE EN13356?

You need the below steps to get a correct reflector which is OK for EN13356

Step 1: Decide The Size

for EN13356 regulation, the minimum area is 15 cm2. but in fact, it is not big enough in our daily application. we would like to suggest 25cm2 at least.

and then try to fix these designs in an area of 23X23cm, why? this is to try to avoid the material line on the reflector to keep it nicer. you can see our blog The Line On The Reflective PVC Surface

Step 2: Decide The Printing

There are 2 ways to make the printing on the soft reflector. the surface printing or inner printing. just keep in mind one thing: leave enough non-printing area for EN13356

please check our blog for the printing issue at  Printing On The Reflectors

if not for printing, you can make an embossed style also like the one below:

Normally you need to print the CE EN13356 mark on the reflector, but if it is not good-looking, you need to print the CE on the packing at least.

of course, the reflective material for EN13356 is silver in color and lime yellow only.  but you can put other colors under them to get some different colors

Step 3: Choose The Fasteners

The regular fasteners are like ball chains, strings, and safety pins. you can have more parts like keychains, elastic string, etc.

Step 4: Design A Packing

Making a paper inlay or cardboard with instructions will help people to know it better.
